Why We Decided to Roast Coffee Ourselves

Rwanda produces some of the finest coffee in the world, yet too often the value leaves the country. At Blackbuck Coffee, roasting locally allows us to control freshness, flavor development, and consistency while supporting local farmers and businesses.

Roasting also allows us to tailor profiles specifically for the machines we sell and service, ensuring cafés get the best possible extraction and cup quality.

Equipment

Why We Sell Pikawa Instead of Cafiza or Pulycaff

Cleaning products are essential for machine longevity, but premium brands are often overpriced locally. Pikawa offers the same professional cleaning performance at a much more accessible price.

We tested Pikawa extensively on the machines we service daily. The results are excellent, and the cost savings help cafés maintain their equipment properly without compromise.

Our Philosophy

Why We Accept to Rent Machines Far from Our Office

Renting machines outside Kigali is logistically challenging. Travel time, servicing, and emergency repairs require more effort, but we believe access to quality coffee equipment should not be limited by location.

We accept these challenges because strong partnerships matter more than convenience, and because growing Rwanda's coffee culture requires reaching beyond city centers.
